ASOS dress (see it as a full dress here),
Thrifted maxi skirt (similar style here),
Alexander Wang crossbody bag,
Vintage jewelry (from Lauren's gdma).
You know it's hot in Brooklyn when every block has a Fire Hydrant spewing water into the street! Although, I must say I don't mind being misted once in awhile when walking around the hood.
Despite the heat, I decided to add some layers to my look by tossing a printed maxi over a shorter dress to give both an instant upgrade. I've never layered a long skirt over a minidress before, but I'm kind of digging the outcome. And what a great way to instantly double your wardrobe!
As for accessories, I dressed up the look with a dash of silver, incorporating some vintage jewelry I inherited from my grandmother, Micol's awesome Wang crossbody bag, and these new jeweled sandals I received from Fibi & Clo. I rarely wear flats, but the elegant shape and design of these sandals had me sprung. And you wouldn't believe how affordable they are... which is perfect for me because after a summer of bbqs, concerts, weekend trips, and lots of running around in the heat, my shoes (not to mention my feet) are usually totally destroyed.

I miss playing in the fire hydrants! Very nice outfit for a hot summer day.

This is the perfect combination of fun and classiness! I adore the crop top with this python skirt - it's so rocker chic. You look absolutely gorgeous - GORGEOUS. Your hair is the perfect amount of beachy wavy, and I am so jealous of everything about you.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being featured on IFB - you guys totally deserve it! You're both so beautiful and talented.

Gorgeous outfit! Are they really spewing water into the streets because of the heat?!

love this look! and such cute sandals
ReplyDeleteI find it hard not to wear sandals or flats in the summer. My feet sweat with just the thought of putting on actual shoes. As for flat sandals they are my go to summer shoe...when it's 90 or above I just can't take hiking in heels. Walking in heels in the city is a workout already. lol Love the cut of the back of your top.

First, your hair is to.die.for. Second, your skirt needs to be in my closet. It's perfect. If you wake up tomorrow to find it missing, you know where it went.
